I really do not want to bother the fine people at CDM, who have worked tirelessly and uncomplainingly to get me to this point, so I thought I’d ask here.
I am using FIleZilla Server on a W7 installation of CDM with a 4Tb RAID-5, and I can:
transfer from the NTFS TMS library to an EXT2 content server
from a FAT32 USB to the NTFS TMS library or an EXT2 content server
from a DVD to an NTFS TMS library or an EXT2 content server
I *can* transfer from an EXT2 CRU drive (via the TMS) to an EXT2 content server, but…
I cannot transfer/ingest from an EXT2 CRU drive to the NTFS TMS library.
I can copy the files to the library RAID, and CDM will integrate them, but I do not want to force the managers to have to sit there and delete the unwanted files, or worse, end up using 3D DCPs.
As yet, I do not know if I can use a CRU MoveDock to treat the CRU like the USB drive, but then again, I do not want to transfer the files via USB 2.0 (or 3.0) since we already own the CRU drive bays in the TMSs.
Does anyone have any ideas how I can get past this really annoying problem? I know it’s not CDM, but I sure would love some feedback.
